-Volunteers for our home HS Track Meet held on Friday, 4/12/2023.

Individuals who volunteer may be eligible for either an individual or family activity pass. If you are interested in helping out, please contact Mr. Darwyn Thomlinson at ThomlinD@usd323.org.
Cross Country Update
Rock Creek finished well at Regional Cross Country this weekend in Wichita! Shout out to Liv Nippert who placed 5th, Lucy Nippert who placed 8th and Kyra Nippert who placed 10th, all three qualifying individually for the State Cross Country meet! Also, shout out to our HS Boys team who took 3rd and qualified all 7 athletes to attend State this weekend! For the boys, Aiden Hunger placed 8th, Simeon Bohlen placed 10th, David Wilkinson placed 15th, Trent Buckman placed 35th, Dylan Nelson placed 38th, Cooper Mowry placed 42nd, and Mason Berggren placed 51st. Great job Cross Country!
4A State Cross Country will be held at Wamego’s Country Club Golf Course this Saturday, 10/28. Boys will run in 4A starting at 10:00 am. Girls will also run in 4A, and they will begin at 11:45 am. The awards ceremony will be held for boys at 12:30 pm and girls will be at 12:45 pm. Please note that the State Cross Country meet will charge $10 per person K-Adult for admission.
Volleyball Update
High School Volleyball unfortunately saw the end of their season this weekend when we hosted Sub-State, defeating Wamego in game one, but losing to a tough Holton team in game two. Overall, Rock Creek finished the year 29-8, marking the year by defeating some tough teams and going 9-1 in the Mid-East League bringing home the MEL title. Shout out to our team for some incredible close matches throughout the year, to our Seniors Sam Killingsworth and Brooklyn Plummer for the leadership they’ve shown this year, and to our coaching staff led by Alli Snapp for doing such an amazing job with our young ladies this year. We look forward to what the future brings as RC Volleyball returns a great group for next year!
Football Update
JV Football once again put up a huge win over Clay Center last Monday. This Monday, JV travels to Concordia for a 5:30 pm start to close out their season. Good luck JV Football!
Varsity football also took care of business against Concordia last Friday, winning 43-7. This puts Football at 5-3 on the year, and 2nd in district football. As a result, Rock Creek will be hosting Chapman this Friday night at 7:00 pm. Should Rock Creek win that game, they would look to play the winner of 7-1 Wichita Collegiate vs. 2-6 Concordia on Friday, 11/3 for Regionals. The team with the better record would be the host school for Regionals. Good luck Varsity Football!
Thank you,
Darwyn Thomlinson
